Virtual Reality

     The virtual reality was very real, the grand canyon was amazing, the words that the person said in the trailer were very convincing, and the fall were awesome, the natural space is so cool.
 The devils pool doesn't look that much "dare-deviling".  But the views were very cool, and they were very beautiful and  COOL.

experiment 3: flood

 Question: How does the amount of water that flows through a stream table affect erosion + deposition?

Hypothesis: The water deposits a lot more sand.

Materials: Fine sand, rough sand, clay, 3 cups of water, ruler, stream table, beaker.

Procedure:1. mix fine and rough sand with clay; 2. make the sand flat; 3. put the water in the beaker; 4. wait for the results

Observation: the thing was very fast, almost nothing happened, but the water "flooded" the land

       Conclusion: I have to admit,  it wasn't very interesting.

Wadi Degla field trip

      The bus ride was not so long, I couldn't wait until we got there. When I hopped down the bus, I saw it, a big valley, slopes spreading both sides, I was amazed.
      I honestly thought the walk to the spot that we were going to eat was not so far away, but it was. After the safety talk we set off, I stayed around the middle of the group.
      We sat on a place with no shade, but it was windy, so I didn't sweat. Dr. Bill started talking, I didn't know how he exceeded in making the whole fifth grade be quiet.
      Apparently we were sitting on what used to be an ocean floor thousands of years ago, a giant meat -eating whale called, ahhh... I don't remember it's name, but there also swimmed the Megalodon, my favorite species of sharks, but it's extinct, sadly. ðŸ˜¢.
When Dr.Bill finished talking, I went exploring a little-, and I realized that there were holes in the walls, I thought I could climb to the first hole. As I did so I forgot that we were not allowed to do that, so a parent made climb down. Th field trip was a lot of fun.

Experiment four: Water engineer

Question: what happens to the tissue when water flows and hits it?

Hypothesis: the tissue rips.

Materials: Fine sand, rough sand, clay, 3 cups of water, ruler, stream table, beaker, tissue, tape.

Procedure:
1. mix fine and rough sand with clay;
2. make the sand flat;
3. put the water in the beaker;
4. wait for the results

Observation: It made a huge River 0:20, 0:40 the water just went under the tissue. 1:34 The tissue got wet all over. 6:00 It went crazy (The tissue fell, the tapes are all around)

Video: https://youtu.be/6SWW01g-CtU

Conclusion: The hypothesis failed, but the experiment was a lot of fun, the water did not rip the tissue, but wet the tissue all over.

experiment 2: deposition

 Question: What happens to the land that gets eroded?

Hypothesis: The land follows the river downstream until the hole.

Materials:Fine sand, rough sand, clay, 3 cups of water, ruler, stream table, beaker.

Procedure:1. mix fine and rough sand with clay; 2. make the sand flat; 3. put the water in the beaker; 4. wait for the results

Observation:20 seconds: water is making a river. 52 seconds: Making a fast river. 1 minute 23 seconds: going down really fast. 1 minute 40 seconds: water is at the end of the river. 1min 50 sec it creates a new land at the end of the river. 3 min 30 sec: it made a huge land. and it made canyon. 5 min 10 sec it made a huge huge huge land made out of the sand in the canyon at the end of the river. ? min, the water is starting to fall. 5 min 50 sec it made a river on a new land. 6 min 50 sec: it stopped.

       Conclusion: our experiment worked, the land that the water passed through gets eroded and ends up at the end of the river.

APL QUOTE

 "Don't raise your voice, improve your argument
~Desmond Tutu
      I think the quote means that when you discuss something  with someone else, you should not scream or shout, you should only speak with a calm assertive  voice. I wonder who is Desmond Tutu, because he sounds wise. I think the quote is good, because it would help  you through life and it helps people not to get mad at you.
